Questions
What people ask at the desk
Answers follow the accommodation and house rules.
How do I move to another room or hall?
Any working day until 15:00, file the request at the Accommodation desk. Within the same hall you are released from the old room, pay rent and utilities and are placed in the new one. For another hall you return the key and fob to the old warden the same day and move into the new hall with a clearance slip, a photo, paid rent and address registration.
When are guest nights charged?
If a guest stays past 22:00, a guest night is charged — BGN 20 in blocks 9, 23A, 23B, 24, 26, 36B, 38, 40A and 53B, and BGN 30 in blocks 55V, 55G and 61A.
How do I check out of the hall?
By 15:00 on a working day, go to the Accommodation desk, pay the final utilities and rent up to your leaving date and receive a red-stamped receipt. Take the receipt, key and fob to the warden. Any damage is paid for and you receive a clearance slip — keep it for future accommodation.
My utility charges look too high.
Check the meter readings with the hall housekeeper. If they are wrong, a correction is filed and the amounts are fixed in web-student. If the discount deadline is near, pay at the cash desks in block 23A.
Can I live in another university's hall?
Yes, with an exchange letter. If you already lived there last year, simply tick that you are keeping your block and room. For a new application, also file a request to KSBVU naming the university — the letter is issued if that university allocates places to UNWE students.
